The Tunson Leadership Foundation (TLF) was formally founded in 2008, by a group of public school educators and small business owners with significant experience and contacts in various relevant industries including education, entertainment, social services and financial services.

The Founders agreed that the purpose of TLF is to provide alternative educational activities and personal development for youth and young adults of color, centering on socialization, leadership, self-reliance and life skills. Additionally TLF will provide a cohesive support system for youth and young adults of color coping with challenges such as peer pressure, depression, violence, abuse, housing insecurity, physical/mental disabilities, academic barriers and self-esteem, in an effort to become world-class citizens.

"We believe that a disability, it is a DIFFERENT ABILITY!"
